A Wrong Turn ((Hector)) Empty A Wrong Turn ((Hector))

Josslyn was trying to find her way around DC, while her mother was in a business conference downtown. Despite being told to stay inside all day, the 'rebellious' teenager defied her mother, and went out anyway. How could someone expect a teenager just sit inside all day, when visiting Washington DC? The answer was beyond Joss's personal knowledge. Besides, it's not like her mother obeyed Joss's grandmother when she was a teenager in Galway.

Taking turns here and there, Josslyn thought she knew where she was going, based on following the signs of life buzzing through the city. At about nine o'clock, Josslyn knew her mom was going to be back from her conference in forty-five minutes. Joss stopped at a store to nonchalantly make a U-Turn in D.C. and trusted her memory to find her way back "home."

The girl kept walking confidently, then took a left turn, instead of a right, and found herself in an alley. She saw some shadows near the edges of the walls trapping her left and right. Joss abruptly turned around, and tried to get out of the alley. Even though she never backed down from a fight, she knew that alleys were bad, and they don't end up with rainbows and butterflies in the end. Josslyn instinctively reached into her bag, and pulled out knife that was concealed in it, still in it's sheath. She reached the end of the alley, and quickly turned the corner, and ran into a guy. "Oh, sorry," she said, looking at her feet.

Hector came out of McDonalds with his order, the boy was starving. He hadn't eaten breakfast when he went out the search the city. He had been there for a few weeks and still hadn't covered half of it. He had to search every nook and carny. He was trying to find the orphanage he had grown up in, he had found out it was in D.C. Several weeks ago when he had been in New York the name had come to his mind, it had driven him mad. When he looked it up and saw a picture it triggered a horrible headache and he gotten a little scarp of a memory. He knew here in this city he would find some answers. Maybe even to who the girl was that plagued his dreams. He knew he used to know here. "I guess i'm on a quest then? Whenever I read about them, they never seemed to be so..... depressing and tiring. Well real life sucks, when can I have a happy ending?

He sighed a kept walking as he ate, he finished the three doubles and fries in a few minutes and was now working on his bottle of water. He just picked a direction and started walking. He had tried to get the address of the orphanage but none existed, he couldn't find anything about it. Everyday for the past few weeks he had been walking around D.C. trying to find anything that seemed to stand out, some things looked the same but nothing really stood out. Sadly D.C. was a big place. That fact he cursed every mile he walked in it. After awhile he started to understand what were the bad parts of D.C. and what were not, he was in a place that walked a fine line between the two.

It was about nine when Hector was walking back to the motel of his. He was giving up for the day, and it would still take him at least two hours of walking to get back to his place. He could call a Taxi, but he really did enjoy walking. Hector liked the feeling on the wind, it blew though his plain blue shirt, and jeans. It didn't matter much though, it was rather warm this night. Hector turned a corner just as girl did the same. She had been moving rather quick, he took a step back. She apologized so Hector felt like he should do the same. It's okay really, ummm why'd you take the corner so quick? You in a race or something?" He chuckled a bit, than waited for her to answer.
